Peter Parrot and His Magic Star

Jenny Dent takes you into a world of spiritual healing through the use of vivid colours, as Peter Parrot leaves his Himalayan home to visit those parts of the world in need of healing.

"How lucky I am to have such a wonderful Star!" Peter remarks on awakening one morning. Clutching in his claws seven colourful ribbons attached to seven brilliant balloon-like six-pointed stars of red, orange, yellow, green, blue, violet and indigo, he embarks on a series of adventures that take him to the sands of Egypt and a rainforest in South America.

Guided by his magic Yellow star, Peter rescues a lost boy by the Sphinx and returns him to his family's village; aided by his Green star Peter visits his friend Rupert Monkey to help the trees and plants in the Rainforest grow again. Before returning home, Peter uses his Blue star as a surfboard to help keep the water in the Pacific Ocean clear and clean for the dolphins to enjoy, and finally he buries in tired Mother earth his magical Indigo star. "Mmmmmm" murmurs the earth with happiness.

Peter and his friends are also on the CD that comes with the book. Play it and you can listen while they help you to imagine, to have fun moving around and dancing, and to learn how to visualize things in your mind's eye.
